TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING ENROLMENT AND ADMISSION AT IMAN EDUCATION

Terms and Conditions of Enrolment at Iman Education (hereinafter referred to as “the School”) are to be read in conjunctions with the School’s calendar. These form part of the agreement between the School and the parent/guardian of the student (hereinafter referred to as “the Parent”) as named herein. Please read the policies and the terms and conditions governing the admission to the School and the child’s continued enrolment as student at the School, as set out below:


Personal Information

  1. Parent understands that any false, inaccurate or misleading information could lead to rejection of the application to be admitted or to the child’s offer of a place in this School being withdrawn by the School.
  2. The parent must at all times inform the School of any changes to information given on admission in writing.
  3. Parent hereby gives his/her consent to the School to take such photographs, images, recordings, works or derivative works of the child and to use, free of charge, such photographs, images, recordings, works or derivative works in any media and for whatever purpose as the School shall deem fit, including without limitation for any promotional materials, including but not limited to brochures, flyers or website of the School.
  4. The School reserves all rights and interests in any intellectual property rights arising as a result of the actions of a Student in conjunction with any member of staff of the School and/or other Students at the School for a purpose associated with the School. The School will allow the Student’s role in creation/development of intellectual property rights to be acknowledged.
  5. All notices, letters and correspondence from the School may be sent to the parent at the e-mail address/contact number set out in the Application for Enrolment Form and shall be deemed sufficiently served if sent by email / ordinary post or if the same is handed over to the child.

Application Fee and Admission Process

  1. A non-refundable Annual Enrolment fee and Monthly Tuition Fee is payable in full for each submission payable upon enrolment of the student at the School, after which the Applicant is a candidate.
  2. The non-refundable Annual Enrolment fee will subsequently be charged annually.
  3. Applicants will be considered as candidates for admission and entry to the School when the Application Form has been completed and returned to us and the non-refundable/non-transferable Annual Enrolment Fee and Monthly tuition fee is paid and cleared.
  4. Admission and entry will be subject to the availability of a place and the child satisfying the admission requirements at the time.
  5. The Annual Enrolment fee covers an application for admission to the School for the Term and Academic Year applied for. A new Annual Enrolment Fee will be imposed if any of the following occurs:
    (a) A deferment of an application to a future Term of not more than 2 months for more than (1) one time.
    (b) The application is withdrawn by parents/guardian with or without an offer of place.
    (c) A deferment of studies of more than 2 months.
    (d) Parents/Guardian are no longer in contact with the school at the last known address.
    (e) Any other terms and conditions not mentioned herein, governing Enrolment and Admission.
  6. If an offer is declined by the Parent in writing or by default, the application will automatically be cancelled.
  7. Should the Parent wish to re-enrol after withdrawing, the application will be treated as a fresh application and the then prevailing Annual Enrolment Fee is applicable according to the Fee Schedule of the Academic Year, at the time of the re-application.
  8. The admission of the child is at the absolute discretion of the School and the School is not obliged to offer any justification for the rejection of any application. Similarly, placement of the child is also at the absolute discretion of the School and in this regard, the School generally takes into consideration various factors, including the child’s age, academic ability, level of achievement relative to the School’s current students and the child’s behaviour.

School Fees

  1. School fees are payable in full from the day of enrolment, and a student is considered enrolled until a written notice of withdrawal is received by the Head of School. School fees will continuously be charged until a written notice of withdrawal has been received via written letter or email. The last day of attendance at school is the end of the following month from the date stated on the written withdrawal notice.
  2. School fees are continuous and are inclusive of term breaks and public holidays according to the school’s Academic Calendar, and will be charged continuously on the 1st of every month, unless the student has withdrawn with an appropriate withdrawal notice.
  3. School fees are payable even if the student does not attend classes during that month (please refer to Parental Obligations on student attendance), unless the student has withdrawn, based on the above.
  4. School fees may be frozen for a maximum period of one month in a year for emergency purposes only, with a two-month prior written notice via a written letter or email. Without which, school fees will still be payable during their absence for the month.
  5. The School reserves the right to increase the school fees at its discretion as it deems fit, from time to time during the student’s enrolment in the School. The Parent shall be given notification of any such increase, and the revised fee shall be payable effective from the date stipulated in the notification.
  6. All bank charges involved in the electronic transfer of payments to the School’s bank account, including those receiving bank, shall be borne by the remitter.
  7. In the event of some incident or event occurring within or affecting Malaysia such that the School is required by the relevant authorities of the Malaysia Government to close during the currency and/or aftermath of such incident or event, the School will not be obliged to refund all or any part of the fees or refundable deposit.
  8. School fees are billed on a monthly basis. Invoices will be emailed to parents on the 1st of every month. Parents are required to pay tuition fees at the beginning of each month.
  9. All payments must be made within 10 days of invoice.
  10. Where any fee or part of a fee remains unpaid after the due date, the School reserves the right to:
  • Cease supplying any course materials and tuition services to the student without prejudice to the obligation to pay fees; and/or
  • Demand payment in full of all fees and instalments outstanding to that date; and/or
  • Cancel enrolment of the student if at any time payments fall in arrears without prior written arrangements.
  1. The School reserves the right to terminate the enrolment of a student if the account remains outstanding after final reminder has been served.
  2. The Parent shall pay all legal fees and other administrative costs and disbursements incurred in connection with the demand or enforcement of the payment of money due hereunder or the observance and performance of any covenants undertakings stipulations Terms and Conditions or provisions herein contained.

Parental Obligations

  1. The School operates to a regular timetable, and it is a contractual obligation on the part of the Parent to ensure that the child attends classes in a timely manner.
  2. If the child is unable to attend physical class onsite, the child may either (1) stream in online, or, (2) attend other existing classes online or onsite depending on availability.
  3. The School is not obliged to offer replacement classes in the event that the child is absent and misses a class.
  4. The School is not obliged to absorb the fees if students do not attend classes (please refer to School Fees section above).
  5. Parents must inform the school in writing if the child will be absent for classes.
  6. Parents must inform the school in writing of any potential or prolonged absence of the child.
  7. Parents are responsible for the student outside of their allocated class time. The School will not be held responsible for the student outside of their allocated class time.

Withdrawal

  1. Request for withdrawal must be made in writing addressed to the Head of School. Any request for withdrawal from the School, other than in writing of a written letter or email, will not be entertained.
  2. The Enrolment Fee paid to the School is not refundable.
  3. A minimum of ONE (1) month fee paying withdrawal notice is required.
  4. School fees for the withdrawal period must be settled in full.
  5. Please note that the notice of withdrawal must be given before invoices are issued on the 1st of every month.

Health and Safety

  1. In the interest of the child and/or other students of the School, the Head of School may at his/her discretion prohibit the child from attending at the School for such period as the Head of School deems necessary in the event of the child having a contagious or infectious disease or illness or in the event of an outbreak of a contagious or infectious disease or illness at the School regardless of whether the child is infected or otherwise. Parents must comply with the quarantine regulations made by any School medical officer or any medical practitioner as varied from time to time. The parent or child shall have no claim against the School arising from such action taken by the Head of School.
  2. Parent gives his/her consent that in case of emergency, where neither parent or guardian can be contacted or contacted in time, the Head of School may authorise the medical examination of the child, the calling of further medical or specialist advice, or send the child to a clinic/medical centre/hospital. All costs for the emergency medical treatment shall be borne by the parents/guardians wholly or in such event indemnify the school for such payment. Under such circumstance where the safety of the child is top priority, the parents/guardians shall not hold the School or related companies or its staff responsible for such medical treatment administered with whatever consequences.
  3. Parent gives his/her consent to such physical contact as may accord with good practice and be appropriate and proper for teaching and instruction and for providing comfort to a student in distress or to maintain safety and good order, or in connection with the Student’s health and welfare.
  4. Parent confirms and agrees that the School shall not be liable for any death, personal injury or any loss or damage of any kind whatsoever which the child may sustain on his person or property at any time either within the School premises or elsewhere which is not attributable to the negligence of the School, its officers or employees.
  5. Parent acknowledges that the School incorporates the usage of Internet in the curriculum to enhance the child’s development activities and agrees that the School has made clear the importance of cyber safety and has implemented sufficient security measures to shield the child from potential threats on the Internet. The parent agrees that he/she will share responsibility in monitoring the child’s Internet usage.
  6. Students are responsible for the security and safe use of all personal property and are responsible for ensuring that all such property is clearly marked with the owner’s name.
  7. Students are responsible for the safe condition and use of all digital & electronic appliances that they bring on to school premises.

Miscellaneous

  1. The School shall not be liable for any loss suffered by the student resulting from any event that is beyond the reasonable control of the School.
  2. The School shall not be liable for any harm or loss suffered by the student outside of the student’s allocated class time. Parents agree that it is his/her responsibility in monitoring their child outside of the student’s allocated class time.
  3. The School shall not be liable for any error, omission or misstatement in the School website, literature or publications.
  4. All photos and videos taken of the student can be used by the School for promotional purposes.
  5. The School reserves the right without prior notice to make changes as deemed appropriate in regards to teaching staff, course offerings, curricula, academic policies, and/or other.
  6. ⁠By accessing or using the website imaneducation.my, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. These Terms apply to all users, visitors, and customers of Iman Education SDN BHD. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time.
  7. Payment – Fee listed are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Payment must be made in full upon enrolment.
  8. ⁠Intellectual Property – All content on this website is the property of Iman Education Sdn Bhd and may not be reproduced without written permission.
  9. ⁠Limitation of Liability – Iman Education Sdn Bhd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use our services.
  10. ⁠Governing Law – These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Malaysia.
